Who should attend: The conference is open to anyone that would like to enhance, increase, and gain more knowledge of the Navajo traditional philosophy ofHózhǫ́ǫgo liná, Beauty Way of Life. All are welcome including: Educators, Community partners, Elders, Youth, Cultural knowledge holders, Language and Culture Advocates, Parents, Grandparents, Policy Makers, Community Leaders and Organizations
Purpose: The purpose for the Ádaa Hą́ą́h Hasin bee Hózhǫ́ǫgo liná Wellness Conference is to build and share information, raise awareness, create dialogue, and help with more understanding of the Navajo cultural ways while integrating Western concepts. By promoting Navajo cultural beliefs and using the four cardinal directions as a reference, conference attendees will aspire to elevate self-confidence and awareness in every day decision-making.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the conference, the participants will be able to:
Learn and gain knowledge of limits, stability, and reflection of one’s self - Ádaa Hą́ą́h Hasin
Gain knowledge of kinship creates stability - K'é bee siihasin
Learn and practicereflection - Shiihasin
Learn and gain knowledge of the Path of the Sun Environment - Chahałheeł
