Sally N. Pete, RN, MSN, CEO - WIHCC, INC

Since 2002, Sally has been driving WIHCC to achieving excellence.  As CEO, Sally views her leadership role as that of a caretaker and nurturer.  Roles that allow her to develop and foster a tremendous employee philosophy of providing top notch professional comprehensive health care to our Native Nation.  Her bio below briefly describes the amazing accomplishments that Sally has achieved in her outstanding career.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from UNM-Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Women’s Health Study, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Epidemiology Study, Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing from ASU-Tempe, Arizona
Employment:
  • Clinical Nurse/Public Health Nurse at Keams Canyon, Kayenta, Shiprock, Phoenix, Crownpoint, Fort Defiance and Winslow. 
  • Director of Public Health Nursing at Fort Defiance and Winslow. 
  • NAIHS PHN Consultant
  • Chief Executive Officer since 2002 at WIHCC
Accomplishments:

Numerous awards including Partnership for childhood immunizations from State of Arizona, IHS Chief Nurse Officer Award, NAIHS Director’s Awards for various accomplishments.
