The laboratory department personnel does not provide test results directly to patients. This is due to stringent federal regulations. Laboratory personnel will provide the test results information to your medical care provider. In most cases the information are immediately available in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Laboratory sample which are submitted for specialized testing may take up to (2) days or (5 ) days because these samples are sent to Phoenix Labcorp reference laboratory. Only your health care provider may provide the test results to you.
WIHCC clinical laboratory services has the state of the art analytical systems combining a variety of highly complex testing methodologies from automated and manual analysis.
Specialities in the clinical laboratory department includes all routine testing in the following areas: 1. Chemistry 2. Microbiology 3. Body Fluids 4. Hematology 5. Coagulation 6. Point of Care Testing (POCT) performed by Laboratory and Nursing Staff. 7. WIHCC laboratory does not have a Blood Bank Department so it does not perform blood transfusion. 8. Special analytical testing are performed by our contract reference laboratory at Laboratory Corporation of American (aka: LABCORP)
