On Thursday, November 02, 2017 at 8:45AM, WIHCC announced a Code Silver Emergency in the Urgent Care Area of the Medical Office Building. Code Silver is announced when there is an incident involving a weapon. Winslow Police Department was immediately notified and responded along with the Arizona DPS. All patients and staff were escorted to a safe location away from incident. A single individual was detained and arrested by Winslow PD. There were no reported injuries to any patients or staff members. At 9:10 AM, the CEO, Sally Pete, cleared the Code Silver emergency. We value the safety and security of staff. Using the services offered by an advocate can reduce patient and family stress, lessen the chance of treatment and billing errors and help foster a greater sense of cooperation between the patient, family, medical professionals and health insurance providers. Patient Advocates wear many hats so to speak.
