Our Environmental Health Technicians are Certified Car Seat Educators to assist with one-on-one training to guide parents on car seat safety. They are also available during the Weekly Prenatal Education classes for expecting mothers/parents. Our program offers three types of car seats: rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seat. Even though there are many different models to choose from, all car seats must meet the same U.S. federal safety standards. Essential requirements when scheduling a car seat education appointment: have approximately an hour available for education time per child, patient chart number, and a vehicle onsite for the car seat to be installed. If you have further questions, please contact the Environmental Health Office at (928) 289-8013 or (928) 289-9775. |
